Police: Man bites officer

A Walworth man is facing numerous charges after he fought with Geneva Police officers early Monday morning.
Dustin Vernon Gomes, 26, of Walworth, is facing both felony and misdemeanor charges including DWI and two counts of assault on a police officer.
Geneva Police say Gomes violently fought with four officers. Two of the officer suffered injuries, one a nose injury and another was bitten by the suspect. Police say Gomes also attempted to take two of the officers duty weapons. After a car and foot chase, police arrested Gomes on Monroe Avenue in Geneva
Gomes is in the Ontario County Jail on $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond. He is due back in Geneva City Court on Tuesday.
