Corning soldier returns to final resting place

A soldier from Corning, who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month, returns home to the Southern Tier.

Army Specialist Ryan Jayne's body will arrive Tuesday morning at the Elmira Corning Airport.

There will be a procession from the airport to Carpenters Funeral Home in Corning. Calling hours for the 22 year old will be held Wednesday.

Jayne and three other soldiers from New York State were killed by a roadside bomb.
