Inmate dies after suicide attempt at the Monroe County Jail

News 10NBC has learned an inmate injured in a suicide attempt at the Monroe County Jail, has Died.
The Monroe County Sheriffs Office tells News 10NBC, Jerome Tavolino died this afternoon.
He had been at Strong Memorial Hospital since Monday morning, after deputies say he was found suspended by a sheet in a cell.
Last week, Tavolino plead not guilty to arson charges.
Police say he set a fire inside a home on Kilmar Street earlier this month, trapping his girlfriend's 11-year-old son and the couple's 3-year-old daughter inside.
The boy was able to rescue his sister, and the two escaped.
