Sheriff's Office: Jail inmate punches sheriff's corporal in the face

A Monroe County Jail inmate is facing charges after she assaulted a Monroe County Sheriff's Office corporal.

The Sheriff's Office say 29-year-old Tricia Dawson slipped free from her handcuffs and punched a sheriff's corporal in the face. The corporal suffered injuries to his head and hand.

Dawson has been charged with assault.
