Suicide survivors support each other

Members of the Rochester Community banded to together to help those struggling with the loss of friend or family member to suicide.
The School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Rochester held a conference to honor International Survivors of Suicide Day. It's an opportunity to support those who have lost someone they know to suicide. Kathleen Plum, who helped organized the conference, says the event is all about healing and sharing.
"It's about finding out you are not alone, that a lot of other people are sharing the same loss," says Plum. "And are struggling with the same issues that you are and are resolving them and coping with them."
