Police: Rochester man nearly hits state trooper on Inner Loop

Police say a Rochester man was driving drunk when he nearly hit a state trooper. It happened on the Inner Loop in Rochester around 3 a.m. Sunday.

State Police tell News10NBC a trooper was conducting a traffic stop when he saw a vehicle coming directly at him. According to police, the driver swerved out of the lane at the last second and continued driving east.

The trooper was able to catch up to the driver who police say had been drinking.

Investigators say 47-year-old Michael Banker, had a BAC of .10-percent. He is due back in court on December 13.
