UB closes Shale Gas Research Institute

It has been open for just seven months but now the University of Buffalo has announced its Shale Gas Research Institute is closed.

University trustees say a group of professors had undisclosed connections to the gas drilling industry.
    
The decision came after an internal assessment of the institute.
