A Buffalo man was arrested after troopers say he led them on a chase in Gates while he was drunk.
State police say they stopped 40-year-old Leonard Harrison on Lyell Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday night. During the stop, troopers say Harrison gave them an invalid driver's license and appeared to be intoxicated. They also say Harrison then drove off from the scene headed westbound on Lyell Avenue. The troopers followed Harrison, who they say then struck another vehicle near Route 390.
Officials say Harrison again tried to get away on foot, but was quickly caught by troopers.
Harrison was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing, resisting arrest, along with other traffic violations.
