Three teens injured in crash on western NY road

Authorities say three teenagers are hospitalized after the car they were traveling in slammed into a tree in Medina.
    
Emergency response officials in the Orleans County village of Medina tell local media outlets that the car hit a tree around 12:40 a.m. Sunday.
    
The 18-year-old man driving the car suffered serious injuries and is in Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.
    
A 14-year-old boy also suffered serious injuries and is being treated at Women's and Children's Hospital in Buffalo. A 16-year-old girl was taken to Medina Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
    
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
