The case of a Brighton High School student whose car slammed into the back of a school bus is now going to a grand jury.
John Zakhary was supposed to be in Brighton Town Court Monday afternoon. Now the case includes a least one felony charge.
Police say Zakhary hit the back of the bus on Warren Avenue in October. He and two of his passengers were able to get out of the car.
But one teen, Scott Collins was trapped and hospitalized with serious injuries. Collins's parents say he is still recovering and he will need intensive therapy before he can make a full recovery.
