Bill to increase hunters' access to public land stalled in Senate

A bill to give hunters and fishers more access to public land has stalled in the Senate.

Republicans say it would cost too much money because of conservation programs included in the bill.

In addition to expanding land hunters can use, the legislation would also exclude ammunition and tackle from federal environmental laws that regulate lead.
