Canandaigua Police officer charged with DWI

A Canandaigua Police officer has been charged with DWI.
Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies say Nicole Kadien, 28, of Farmington was stopped for failing to keep right and improper lane usage on North Main Street in the city of Canandaigua on November 23. Sheriff's Deputies determined that Kadien was intoxicated and she was arrested for DWI.
Kadien will appear in the Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
Canandaigua Police Chief Jon Welch says Kadien has been a member of the police deparment for the past six to seven years. He tells News10NBC that she is on paid administrative leave. The department is conducting an internal investigation.
