Orleans County Sheriff's corrections officer arrested for misconduct while on-duty

A corrections officer with the Orleans County Sheriff's Office is under arrest, accused of misconduct while on-duty.
Charles Parker Jr. faces two counts of official misconduct, a misdemeanor.
The Orleans County Sheriff's Office says Parker Jr. is accused of having inappropriate contact with a female inmate. In a second case, investigators say he gave cash to the sister of another female inmate which was used to post the inmate's bail bond.
Parker Jr. was taken to the Orleans County Jail. Sheriff's Deputies say he has been released on bail. The sheriff's office says Parker Jr. is a seven year veteran and is currently on paid administrative leave.
