Park Avenue neighborhood gets in the holiday spirit

Music filled the air at the annual Park Avenue Holiday Open House Thursday night. The kickoff to the holiday season covered a one mile stretch between Alexander Street and Culver Road.

This year's theme was "The Spirit of the Holidays".

Eighty businesses along Park Avenue opened their doors with special discounts, free samples and prizes too. There were horse drawn wagon rides provided on Park Avenue between Alexander Street and Culver Road.

Santa Claus made a special appearance and helped light the menorah and 14 foot Christmas tree along with Mayor Tom Richards.
