There is a water leak at Unity's Saint Mary's Campus on Genesee Street.
The domestic water supply has been shut down until further notice. Repairs are underway.
Public restrooms are closed.
All patient care units can use the toilets, but have been instructed to not flush them using the handle, rather to use the 'forced flushing' method.
Approximately 550 staff and 160 patients/residents have been on site throughout the day. Patient care has not been affected by the water shut down.
News10NBC is told the leak happened outside the psychiatric emergency center.
Currently, ambulances are not allowed to bring new patients to that center. There is no word yet what caused the leak which has been going on since 7 p.m. Tuesday.
