Police: Rochester woman tried to smuggle drugs into prison

Authorities say a 36-year-old Rochester woman has been charged with attempting to smuggle drugs into Attica state prison.
    
State police say Yomarie Cosme was arrested on December 1 after she was caught trying to smuggle multiple balloon packages of heroin and marijuana to a prisoner during an inmate visitation at Attica Correctional Facility in Wyoming County.
    
Officials say she has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband.
    
Cosme was released from the county jail after posting $5,000. It couldn't be determined if she has a lawyer.
