nullA fired New York state trooper has pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution

The Erie County District Attorney's office in Buffalo says 42-year-old Titus Taggart faces up to a year in jail after pleading guilty in county court Monday.

Taggart was fired earlier this year amid allegations that he organized parties while off duty that involved prostitutes. One of the parties was held in November 2011 at the New Brotherhood Motorcycle Club.

Taggart had been a state trooper in Buffalo for 18 years before being fired in June.

He's scheduled to be sentenced March 27.
