A New Jersey man and former Wegmans employee has pleaded guilty to sending threatening emails to Danny and Colleen Wegman.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Hans Ni sent the threatening e-mails from a News Jersey library where he impersonated a Wegmans manager from a New Jersey store.
During sentencing, Ni said that he never intended to harm the CEO or President of Wegmans, rather he was attempting to get the person he impersonated in the emails, his former supervisor at Wegmans, in trouble.
Ni was sentenced to five years probation.
