A powerful winter storm that pounded the nation's midsection before heading to the Northeast is being blamed in at least six deaths.
A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis is describing the storm as a "low-end blizzard."
Forecasts have called for up to 18 inches of snow inland from western New York to Maine on Thursday.
Parts of the Southeast from Virginia to Florida could get severe thunderstorms.
