Monroe Community College and RIT were without power Wednesday morning due to a Rochester Gas & Electric outage.
RG&E says the cause of the outage was a defective switch at Substation #66 in Henrietta. Officials say two circuits had to be taken down to repair the switch, which was able to be done quickly.
Power was restored to both colleges just before 11 a.m.
