Fire officials say firefighters remain on the scene of a blaze that destroyed an old warehouse in Binghamton.
Capt. Gary O'Neill, Binghamton's acting fire chief, says firefighters are allowing the three-story brick complex to burn because it had collapsed during the blaze.
O'Neill says firefighters were called to the former furniture factory on the city's north side around 10:30 p.m. last night. Others were brought in as the blaze engulfed the abandoned three-building complex, which was believed to have been at least 100 years old.
O'Neill says the blaze has been contained.
No injuries have been reported. O'Neill says the cause of the fire is being investigated.
