Police ID and charge suspect in Gitsis Restaurant shooting

A 31-year-old Fairport woman is in stable condition after being shot at Gitsis Restaurant on Monroe Avenue. It happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
Rochester Police say officers were approached by security at the restaurant who told them a man, 30-year-old James Harvey of Virginia Beach, Virginia, inside Gitsis had a gun.
According to police, officers went inside the restaurant to speak with Harvey and during the investigation, Harvey fired a shot which struck Jackie Walker in the lower half of her body.
Harvey was taken into custody and charged with first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say Harvey and Walker did not know each other.
This investigation is continuing.
