Police investigation on S. Plymouth Avenue

An alert went out to University of Rochester students and staff regarding an investigation on South Plymouth Avenue.
The alert, which was also posted on the U of R website, says it is a police investigation and advises people to stay away from the area. The alert was canceled around 10:45 p.m.
Police on the scene told our crews they received a call for something going on at S. Plymouth Avenue. As a precaution, the University of Rochester sent out an alert to all students and staff.
The original call turned out to be a false call.
No one was arrested.
