DOT officials will be holding a public information meeting on Thursday, January 31 to discuss plans to ease travel and improve safety on Buffalo Road between Trabold Road and Marway Circle in Gates.
Specifically, the $4-million project calls for the widening of Route 33 in the area of the Home Depot/Tinseltown Access Road, Wegman Road and Pixley Road, to provide space for additional lanes, including turning lanes. Sidewalks would be added along the side of Route 33 from Trabold Road to Marway Circle. The project will also include resurfacing of the existing pavement, upgrading drainage and signals and installing new landscaping, signs and pavement markings.
The meeting will be held at Gates Town Hall from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
