Multi-tasking study: Can you concentrate?

A new study finds people who multi-task the most are actually the least capable of doing it well -- including talking on the phone while driving.

University of Utah researchers measured the perceived and actual multi-tasking ability of 300 college students.

Many who thought they were better than average and therefore multi-tasked more often tended to have the lowest ability scores. Researchers say frequent multi-taskers can have difficulty focusing on one thing so they get drawn into a second task, like talking on the phone as they drive.

Experts believe these findings support stricter laws that would limit cell phone use while operating a car.
