Watkins Glen in the running for America's coolest small town

Watkins Glen is in the running for America's coolest small town for 2013.

The contest is being hosted by Budget Travel.

Watkins Glen made it into the top 15 small towns from around the country. The Seneca Lake town was chosen because of its awe inspiring gorges, waterfalls, NASCAR racetrack and wine.

The other small towns that made the top 15 include Gulf Shores, AL, Le Claire, IA, Shepherdstown, WV, Bay St. Louis, MS, Camden, ME, Elkhart Lake, WI, Flagler Beach, FL, Glenwood Springs, CO, Greenville, KY, Lititz, PA , Mount Carroll, IL, Put-in-Bay, OH, Quincy, CA  and Travelers Rest, SC.
