County Executive asks for approval to purchase property for MCC downtown campus

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks submitted legislation to allow the county to buy property from Kodak for a new MCC downtown campus.
The legislation asks legislators to approve spending nearly $3 million to buy the property. According to the legislation, the money will come from capital funds.
The county executive released a statement saying: "I am pleased that the planning stage is now complete and I look forward to seeing MCC begin construction on a new downtown home that will best serve the needs of its students for years to come."
