State Police say an officer suffered a concussion after a teenager punched him in the head while high on a synthetic drug known as bath salts.
The Dansville Police officer was responding to a call about a 15-year-old boy out of control in a vehicle at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at a truck stop on Interstate 390. State Police and Livingston County sheriff's deputies report seeing the boy biting and striking his aunt in a parked car.
Troopers say the boy fought off police, punching the Dansville officer in the head. The officer was treated at a hospital.
The boy eventually was removed from the car. He and his aunt were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Charges are pending. The boy's name hasn't been released.
