Sheriff’s Deputies in Cayuga County are investigating a series of larcenies from vehicles dating back to early December and as recently as February.
The Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police have taken dozens of reports of vehicles being gone through in the Towns of Cato, Ira, Victory and Sterling. Investigators say the suspect(s) have stolen cash, electronics and tobacco products. Deputies say the majority of vehicles were parked in driveways.
Witnesses tell investigators they have seen a light-colored minivan, possible a Chrysler, in the area of some of these thefts. Deputies believe all the larcenies are connected.
