Wood Library will reopen to the public on Friday, but on a limited basis. The library sustained water damage after a sprinkler system pipe burst.
People will be able to visit the ground floor and the second floor, including the Bill Rayburn Children's Library and the artwork currently on display in the Ewing Family Community Room. However, the main floor will remain closed, which means there will be no access to the fiction, non-fiction, reference, local history, large print, young adult, mystery, western, inspirational, newspapers and magazines. Visitors will not be able to use the public computers, the copier machine, the public printer or the fax machine.
People will be able to renew and check out materials from some of the collections. The library will distribute items that have been placed on hold.
The AARP Tax Aide program will continue its regular appointments on Friday, February 22, in the Ewing Family Community Room, but the Make a Heart Pendant class and Creature Feature activites have been postponed. People should check the library’s website for the latest information about upcoming programs and activities: www.woodlibrary.org.
