City Council turns down new garbage plan in Batavia

Batavia City Council said no to a new garbage plan Monday night.

City Council voted down the proposed trash ordinance 7-2. The city proposed to transfer garbage and recycling services from the current provider, ARC, to an out-of-town provider.

Now the city will have to come up with a plan to get out of the garbage business and will meet again Wednesday night.
