Seneca Park Zoo announces passing of Flounder the sea lion

News10NBC has learned that one of the sea lions at the Seneca Park Zoo has died.
Flounder died in his sleep Tuesday night. He had been treated for age-related joint pain.
Flounder was 21 years old. Life expectancy of a sea lion is 19 years old. Flounder was born at the Seneca Park Zoo in 1991.
Two other sea lions, Lily and Marina, are still in the Zoo's Rocky Coasts. The zoo does not plan to replace Flounder immediately.
