Carl Paladino, the combative former candidate for New York governor, is running for a seat on the Buffalo school board.
The developer is a longtime critic of the board and City Hall, often citing Buffalo's low high school graduation rate and performance on state tests.
The Republican, who was defeated by Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, announced his school board candidacy on WBBZ-TV's "Political Buzz," in an episode set to air Thursday evening. The station released some of the show's content in advance.
Paladino was escorted by security out of Wednesday's school board meeting after telling the board president she was out of line. He'd been told the same thing after he accused the board of mishandling recent sewage backups at one school
