Physician makes gift to name Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Emergency Department

Newark-Wayne Community Hospital will pay tribute to one of the community's most respected physicians with the naming of its new emergency department.
The new emergency department will soon be named the Daniel Alexander, M.D. Emergency Department. Dr. Alexander, an orthopaedic surgeon and founder and owner of Finger Lakes Bone and Joint Center, made the largest gift in the history of the hospital through the Dr. Daniel Alexander Family Foundation.
The new emergency department will open on April 19.
