Police ID victim in North Clinton Avenue murder

Rochester Police have identified a man who was stabbed to death Wednesday afternoon on North Clinton Avenue.
According to Rochester Police a concerned citizen flagged down an officer on North Clinton Avenue between Clifford Avenue and Upper Falls Boulevard just after 2:30 p.m.
The officer found 49-year-old Darnell Lowery and called for medical attention. Lowery was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the RPD's spokesperson the preliminary investigation says Lowery was involved in a dispute that apparently escalated.
Police say no one is in custody in connection to the stabbing.
