From our news partners at Messenger Post:
Ontario County leaders are saying "no way" to New York’s new gun law. Tonight they passed a resolution repealing the state's safe act.
Governor Cuomo signed the controversial safe act nearly two months ago in Albany, tightening restrictions for guns across the state.
Ontario county's board of supervisors considered this resolution at a meeting last month. It opposes the procedure in which the law was adopted.
An amendment calling for the act's repeal was added, and the board decided to lay over the decision until tonight. We're told after the resolution was passed, there was a standing ovation from the crowd.
