Close to $2 million is headed to the Rush-Henrietta School District. It is one of a dozen school districts to receive the one-time grant from Governor Cuomo's competitive education grants.

In order to get the money, districts had to show they have identified and implemented cost saving management strategies, while maintaining or improving student achievement measures.

Rush-Henrietta will get $1.9 over three years for identifying $2 million worth of cost savings. They consolidated central office duties and revised health insurance plans among other things.
