State Police say a trooper was arrested after he got into a car crash in Gates while he was drunk.
30-year-old Martin T. McClellan was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following that crash on Route 490 in February. Troopers say McClellan was off-duty at the time of the crash and suffered a broken leg. His blood alcohol concentration was tested and found to be at .18%.
McClellan was issued tickets and will return to the Town of Gates later this month. He is currently on extended sick leave due to the injuries he suffered during the crash.
