City Hall goes orange for Multiple Sclerosis

Rochester Mayor Thomas Richards will light up City Hall orange and declare March 11-17 “MS Awareness Week in Rochester” at a news conference on Monday.
Orange is the official color representing the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and in recognition of MS Awareness Week, the National MS Society Upstate New York Chapter embarked on an initiative to get buildings and bridges lit orange across the 50 Upstate counties served by the chapter.
City Hall’s entrance will be lit orange the entire week, as well as the atrium steps inside City Hall. Rochester City Hall is among notable company, as other structures lighting up orange for MS Awareness Week include the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World, Niagara Falls, and the international bridge from Canada to the U.S., the Peace Bridge.
During MS Awareness Week, the National MS Society is offering programs to the public to help them learn more about MS and to identify sources of support for those who are currently in the process of being diagnosed or are currently living with MS.
The conference is Monday at 10 a.m. at City Hall on Church Street.
