A trial date has been set for the two people charged in connection with the death of a Fairport teacher.
News10NBC is told Meagan Merkel and Mark Scerbo will be tried together when their trial begins on May 6.
Police say Scerbo, who is charged with DWI and manslaughter, hit Heather Boyum with his motorcycle while she was riding her bike on Route 250 in Penfield. Boyum was then hit by another vehicle that police say was driven by Megan Merkel. Merkel is charged with vehicular manslaughter.
