Fire destroys barn in Genesee County

A barn was leveled by a fire early Wednesday morning in Genesee County.
Firefighters spent several hours hosing down the debris on Route 20 in East Bethany. Tanker trucks and fire crews from several areas were called in to fight the flames.
One danger -- propane tanks in the barn. They set off minor explosions when the fire broke out around 3 a.m.
There is a house on the property. We are told a truck driver saw the flames and helped alert the homeowner.
We have not heard of any injuries and no animals were inside the barn.
