New cancer prevention study to be conducted in Rochester

You may have the opportunity to help researchers find out what causes or what prevents cancer. People in Rochester can participate in the newest nationwide cancer prevention study.
News10NBC was at City Hall when the American Cancer Society joined local officials for the announcement.
The study is called Cancer Prevention Study 3. It will look at the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that could lead to or stop the formation of the disease.
In order to participate, you must be between the ages of 30 and 65 and have never been diagnosed with cancer.
