The Rochester Fire Department says an early morning fire last week was intentionally set by a city resident.

Arson Task Force officials tell News10NBC that they responded around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, for a structure fire at Southview Towers on South Avenue near Alexander Street. When crews arrived, they found a fire in the hallway on the sixteenth floor of building.

Investigators say after firefighters were able to extinguish that fire, they determined it had been intentionally set. Following an investigation, the Arson Task Force charged Keith A. Saddock, of Rochester, with arson.

Saddock is currently being held in Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday morning in city court.
