Orleans County man charged with attempted murder, assault

A 64-year-old Orleans County man has been charged with attempted murder and assault after an incident at his home in Kendall.
Sheriff’s Deputies say on March 4, Dennis Buehler shot his wife, set his house on fire and then shot himself.
Buehler was arraigned at Strong Memorial Hospital on Monday. Bail was set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond. Additional charges are pending.
An order of protection was issued for his wife.
