Parents in the Victor Central School District were notified Wednesday that the schools were placed into lockout.
Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies tell News10NBC a teacher heard what they described to be either a gunshot or a car back firing. So as a precaution, the schools were put into lockout, meaning students could still go to class, but were not allowed to leave the building.
Sheriff's Deputies investigated and found nothing suspicious. The lockout was lifted a short time later.
