News10NBC's Janet Lomax is the latest notable name to join the Unite Rochester blog, part of a special Democrat and Chronicle initiative.
Lomax, who has nearly 40 years of experience in media, is well known in the community for her service and her involvement in such organizations as Jack and Jill, The Links, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Rochester Association of Black Journalists.
The blog is part of the Democrat and Chronicle’s Unite Rochester initiative, designed to raise awareness about race and racism, and inspire a more inclusive and creative approach to solving community problems. Bloggers share their opinions on these topics, often giving personal anecdotes. Lomax’s first blog post focuses on her visit to the “RACE: Are We So Different Exhibit” at the Rochester Museum & Science Center, and how it reminded her of a photo from her childhood.
