Rochester Police are investigating a shooting on the city's west side Tuesday night.
Officers were called to Salina Street around 8:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Police say a 22 year-old Rochester man was shot at least twice in the lower body.
According to police the man was taken to Strong Hospital in a personal vehicle and is being prepped for surgery.
Police say it is too early to tell if this shooting is related to the other shootings that happened in the area over the weekend.
“There have been some incidents of violence. Too early to tell,” said Lieutenant Ron Malley from the Rochester Police Department.
