Wegmans looking to expand its property at the Mt. Read store

The Wegmans on Mt. Read Boulevard is asking the town of Greece to approve plans that would allow the company to buy two homes near the store and expand.
The homes are directly North of the store. The company says this would allow them to build a space on the property to rent out to a to-be determined tenant. The town has yet to vote on the proposal.
People who live near Mt. Read near the Wegmans have mixed opinions on the possible expansion. Louis Farabella lives right next door and says people live in both homes that Wegmans is proposing to buy. Farabella says he doesn't want Wegmans to become that much closer.
Louis Farabella said, "They are going to take them down and I don't like it at all. I don't want people pulling in flashing there lights in this direction at night time."
The houses aren't the only thing impacted by the purposed plan. Wegmans also wants to take a signal light and move it further North. That's something neighbors say could change the flow of traffic.
Linda Wasmuth said, "It is already pretty hard to make a left hand turn out of the driveway. They need another entrance, if they move it, I don't even know where they would move it too. But another light would be helpful."
While Linda Wasmuth says she is for Wegmans's purposed plan, Farabella says the traffic is another reason he is against the plan.
Farabella said, "We've got enough traffic as it is. We have kids in the neighborhood, and too much traffic and it's going to get worse."
Wegmans's proposed plan will be discussed at the town of Greece's next planning board meeting on Wednesday. If you want to express your opinion on the proposal, you can got to that meeting and tell the planning board.
Wegmans released this statement on the proposal:
We have a contract to purchase the two residential properties immediately North of our Mt. Read Boulevard store, contingent on receiving all necessary approvals. This will enable us to build a 15,000 sq. ft. outparcel that would be leased to a yet-to-be determined tenant and move our entrance to the lot further north, with a new signalized entrance.
