Rochester man charged with distribution of heroin

A 23-year-old Rochester man has been charged with distribution of heroin and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office tells News10NBC Luis Guzman sold heroin and firearms during two controlled buys by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Rochester Police Department in December 2012 and January 2013. We are told one of the firearms purchased was stolen from Tom’s Guns and Ammo in Wayne County.
The firearm charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both. The drug charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a fine of $1,000,000 or both.
