A plan to build a new housing complex in Henrietta, has been tabled for now.
The town's attorney tells us the town board needs time to review a letter from another developer, that came in at the end of the day today.
The board, as well as the public, had a chance to ask the original developer questions at a meeting tonight. The plan is to build off-campus housing for students, in a gated community on land off of East River Road.
After the meeting tonight, some residents, like Carol Malach told us they have concerns.
“Something will be built there, but other issues have to be addressed. east river road is an issue there are safety issues with pedestrians and bike traffic that wasn't even addressed tonight,” said Malach.
Alex eyssen, of campus crest development said, “I believe once everybody hears about the project, and what we plan to bring here, their concerns will be alleviated.”
If you want to share your thoughts on the proposed development, you still have a chance to do so. The board hasn't set a date for another vote for this proposal.
